John D. Hogan, born in 1939, is an American Psychologist and noted author on the history of Psychology. He is presently a Professor of Psychology at
St. John's University in Jamaica, New York, where he taught since 1965. Additionally, he serves as the history and obituary editor forAmerican Psychologist and has been elected President of Division One of theAmerican Psychological Association (Society for General Psychology) for 2009-2010 [http://new.stjohns.edu/academics/undergraduate/liberalarts/departments/psychology/faculty/bi_psy_hogan.sju] .Dr. Hogan has conducted research in the areas of Piagetian theory and creativity, as well as developmental and educational psychology.
