Biomimetic . See Bionics.*
Bionics . also known as biomimetics, biognosis, biomimicry, or bionical creativity engineering) is the application of biological methods and systems found in nature to the study and design of engineering systems and modern technology.C
[http://claraty.jpl.nasa.gov CLARAty] . stands for Coupled-Layer Architecture for Robotic Autonomy, is an integrated framework for reusable robotic software developed by [http://jpl.nasa.gov JPL] . It defines interfaces for common robotic functionality and integrates multiple implementations of any given functionality. Examples of such capabilities include pose estimation, navigation, locomotion and planning. In addition to supporting multiple algorithms, [http://claraty.jpl.nasa.gov CLARAty] provides adaptations to multiple robotic platforms. [http://claraty.jpl.nasa.gov JPL's CLARAty] ]
CLARAty, which was primarily funded by the [http://marstech.jpl.nasa.gov/ Mars Technology Program] , serves as the integration environment for the program's [http://marstech.jpl.nasa.gov/content/category.cfm?Sect=MTP&Cat=base&subCat=BRT&subsubCat= rover technology developments] .
CLARAty is a framework that promotes reusable robotic software. It was designed to support heterogeneous robotic platforms and integrate advanced robotic capabilities from multiple institutions. Consequently, its design had to be portable, modular, flexible and extendable.

Zero Moment Point . Zero Moment Point is a concept related with dynamics and control of legged locomotion, e.g., for humanoid robots. It specifies the point with respect to which dynamic reaction force at the contact of the foot with the ground does not produce any moment, i.e. the point where total inertia force equals 0 (zero).*
