Tin Hau temples in Hong Kong

Around 60 temples are dedicated, at least partially to Tin Hau in Hong Kong. They include:

* Tin Hau temple, located at 10, Tin Hau Temple Road, Causeway Bay, east of Victoria Park, in Eastern District, on Hong Kong Island. It is one of the declared monuments of Hong Kong. [ [http://www.amo.gov.hk/en/monuments_15.php Antiquities and Monuments Office: Tin Hau Temple, Causeway Bay] ] The temple has given its name to the MTR station serving it (Island Line).

* The Tin Hau temple in Yau Ma Tei is also famous in Hong Kong. The public square, Yung Shue Tau before it is surrounded by a night market of Temple Street (a street named after it).

* The Tin Hau Temple at Joss House Bay (大廟灣; Tai Miu Wan) is considered the most sacred. It is one of Grade I historic building. [http://www.amo.gov.hk/form/historical.pdf List of Graded Historic Buildings in Hong Kong (as at 6 Jan 2007)] ]

Sham Shui Po

* 1 temple in Aberdeen (Grade II historic building)
* 1 temple in Shek O village, Shek O

Tai Po District

* 1 temple on Ping Chau (Grade III historic building)
* 3 temples in Tai Po (both graded as Grade II historic building; the one in Tsz Tong Tsuen is adjacent to Man Tai Temple)
* 2 temple on Tap Mun Chau (one was graded as Grade I historic building; the other was graded as Grade III historic building)
* 1 temple in Lam Tsuen, near the Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees

Tsuen Wan District
