Rock Inscription at Joss House Bay is one of the
Declared monuments of Hong Kong . This inscription is dated to the Jiashu year ofXianchun reign ofSouthern Song Dynasty (i.e. 1274 AD). It is the oldest dated inscription found in Hong Kong, which records a visit by an officer in charge of the salt administration. It also gives the history of two temples, north and south of Joss House Bay.
