ZeroC, Inc. is a company based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, U.S., revolving around the development and licensing of the Internet Communications Engine, or ICE, an object middleware system considered an alternative to CORBA and SOAP. It's also notable for employing several high-profile developers, including Michi Henning, a major contributor to CORBA and author of " [http://www.awprofessional.com/title/0201379279 Advanced CORBA Programming with C++] ".

ZeroC licenses ICE under a dual-licensing scheme under the GNU General Public License and a commercial license.
