Full immersion cooling

Full immersion cooling

Full immersion cooling is a cooling technique for keeping the temperature of electronics, usually desktop personal computers, within acceptable ranges by fully submerging the computer into electrically inert liquid.

For example, Fluorinert has been used to cool Cray supercomputers, certain oils cool the IBM STRETCH, and other fluids are known to cool military electronics. Hobbyists have also used mineral oil.
