Weston Longville is a rural
village (population 303ref|population) situated inNorfolk ,England , approximately 8 miles north-west ofNorwich . Its name is derived from the Manor of Longaville inNormandy ,France , which owned the local land in the 12th century.History

Domesday book recorded that this manor was under the ownership of theBishop of Bayeux .The village was home to 18th century
clergyman and diarist, the Parson Woodforde, whose work exhibits a fondness of food and ale, and in whose honour the village pub is named.A
World War II airfield located within the parish is now a turkey farm. Weston Hall and Park, also within the parish, offers a golf course and aDinosaur Adventure Park , the latter a local tourist attraction.References
