"Uhhh Sort Of" is the second album by Applied Communications.

Many music writers have talked about the influence of the untimely death of the artist's mother on the album's subject matter. Many of these writers have held it against him, suggesting exploitation. Max Wood (Applied Communications) has worked to deny this, saying in interviews that it was a huge influence but is only directly touched on in a couple of the record's tracks.

The album was promoted with a video for "It Bothers Me It Bothers You I Snore" and a bizarre 3-page advertisement in Vice Magazine in which Wood was pinned against a wall with red-tape, in three different poses, naked except for a pair of skin-tight vagina pants.

On December 15, 2005, Pitchfork Media called "Uhhh Sort Of" one of the [http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/features/comments/12-15-05/ 15 worst releases of 2005] along with songs and albums by R. Kelly, Eminem, Black Eyed Peas, Akon, The Fiery Furnaces, Weezer, and more.
