- Gallinas National Forest
Gallinas National Forest was established as the Gallinas Forest Reserve by the
U.S. Forest Service inNew Mexico on November 5, 1906 with 78,480 acres. It became aNational Forest on March 4, 1907. On July 1, 1908 Gallinas was transferred toCibola National Forest and the name was discontinued.
