Post-apartheid South Africa, also known as the "New South Africa", "Democratic South Africa" and the "Rainbow nation", refers to the socio-economical , political and social changes in South Africa after the 1994 general election when the ANC came into power under the leadership of Nelson Mandela.
This involves topics such as abolishment of racial segregation, racial discrimination, affirmative action, lifting of international sanctions, redistribution of land, re-incorporation of homelands, renamings, official languages and lectured languages, education of South African history, and the health and wealth of the country's people and government since 1994.
