Route 403 is a 2.4 mile (3.9 km) long state highway located in central Rhode Island. The western terminus of the route is at an interchange with Route 4 and Route 402 in East Greenwich. The eastern terminus is at an interchange with U.S. Route 1 in North Kingstown.

The Rhode Island Department of Transportation is in the process of building the new Quonset Freeway This four-lane limited-access highway is scheduled to be open to traffic in late 2008.

Route description

The highway is a two-lane narrow road which connects on its northwestern terminus RI 402 and RI 4. Its southeastern terminus is at U.S. 1
