Portnalong

Portnalong (Port nan long Gaelic) is a small village on north west of the Isle of Skye on the shore of Loch Harport. Portnalong is Norse for "port of the ships".

The artist turned Jazz musician, Joe Fletcher dwells in Portnalong.

Portnalong served as a refuelling point for allied shipping during World War II.
