Byrne has assembled a band to tour for the album "
Everything That Happens Will Happen Today " performing music from this collaboration as well as the duo's previous "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts" and songs from the three Eno-producedTalking Heads albums - "More Songs About Buildings and Food ", "Fear of Music", and "Remain in Light ". (The two also collaborated for several tracks on Byrne's "The Catherine Wheel".) By performing music from all of their collaborations, Byrne hopes to "draw a line linking this new material with what we did 30 years ago, a little bit anyway."Cite web |url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/news/20080729_eno.shtml |title=Eno-Byrne reunion |publisher=BBC |date=2008-07-29 |accessdate=2008-08-06] Although early reports indicated that Eno would be participating, he will not.Cite news |title=Update: Brian Eno Not On David Byrne Tour |url=http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003828526&inp=true |publisher=Billboard magazine |date=2008-07-17 |accessdate=2008-08-06]In planning the set lists for the tour, Byrne has assembled songs "from this new record, as well from collaborations Brian and I have done in the past which includes one song from "Bush of Ghosts" [and] three songs from the three Talking Heads records we did together."Cite web |url=http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/betterlivingthroughmp3/922/bynreenos-everything-that-happens-will-happen-today-the-david-byrne-interview |title=Bynre & Eno’s Everything That Happens Will Happen Today: The David Byrne Interview |author=

At the same time, the main goal of the performance was not promotion but the show itself.Cite web |url=http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/feature/145622-interview-david-byrne |title=Interview: David Byrne |author=
