Former NWA Pro wreslter, Bino Gambino announced that his MRI results indicate that he will be requiring career ending surgery. Gambino earlier this year announced that he would retire from the sport a few months ago. Many just believe he was taking a temporary hiatus from the business. On August 19, 2005; Jason King was set to defend his World title against J.T. Scarface, who was unable to appear that evening. Jason was left without an opponent for the evening but an exhausted Bino Gambino stepped up. Bino had wrestled earlier in the night, against "Mad" Max Martin, but is experienced enough to know that when an opportunity like this presents itself, to take the ball and run with it. Bino gave everything he had but, ultimately, fell short at the ruthless hands of Jason King. However, this match set in motion a chain of events that led to Bino realizing his dream of becoming the World Champion. This intense feud culminated at Thanksgiving Throwdown II, when Bino challenged Kobrick one last time with one big stipulation. It was to be a Choose Your Own Adventure Match... A match in which Bino has never lost. It proved to be a smart move on Bino's part, as he picked up the win and began his 3rd run as EWF Heavyweight Champion, a title he's held longer than anyone else. It was not without it's consequences, though, as it was the bloodiest match in EWF history and ended with a quick trip to the hospital for the new champ. One thing we can count on for sure in 2008 is that this feud will continue.
