Perinatal nurse

Perinatal nurse

Nurses in the perinatal field provide care and support to women and their families before, during, and after childbirth. They also educate mothers about childbirth techniques and pre-natal health, provide comfort during delivery, and teach mothers about breastfeeding and infant care.

Also known as: OB Nursing; Women's Health Nursing; or Mother/Baby Nursing.
