Battle of Corpach

The Battle of Corpach was a Scottish clan battle, fought in 1439, in the Scottish Highlands, between the Clan Cameron and the Clan Maclean. [http://www.clan-cameron.org/battles/1439.html The Battle of Corpach@Clan Cameron.org] ]

Before this battle took place the lands of the Clan Cameron had been invaded by John Garve MacLean of Coll with the support of Alexander MacDonald, chief of the powerful Clan Donald and Lord of the Isles.

However on one occasion the Clan Maclean invaded and were confronted by the Camerons at Corpach. It is recorded that a young MacLean chieftain, Ewen or John Abrach, the son of John Garve Maclean was killed.
