speed=The Type 90 75 mm Field Gun was a field gun used by the Japanese Army duringWorld War II . It was developed as a replacement for the obsoleteType 41 75 mm Cavalry Gun . It was probably based on a lightened75 mm Type 90 Field Gun , but one source credits it as a copy of the FrenchSchneider et Cie Canon de 75 Mle 1933. It entered production in 1935.At any rate it used the same primitive spade plates as the Type 90 that had to be pounded into the ground to anchor the gun in place. It had wooden, spoked wheels for horse-traction.
