Lonestar . It was the fourth and final single released from their 1997 album "Crazy Nights". Their ninth chart single overall, it was also the last single to feature bass guitarist John Rich, who was fired from the band shortly after this song was released as a single. The song is a moderate up-tempo in which the narrator's lover has shown up after many years of being gone, and much has changed since they left their hometown; despite the changes in the town, however, the narrator still shows a love for her. Many of the examples are highlighted in the song's chorus:
:"They put up a plant where we used to park:"That old drive-in's a new
Wal-Mart :"The café is closed where our names were carved on that corner booth,:"Yeah, everything's changed, except for the way I feel about you."In the second verse of the song, the narrator describes more that has changed, such as the bus route to Santa Fe, which does not run through there anymore.
