"We Got Married" (Ko-hhrm|hangul=우리 결혼했어요) is a reality South Korean variety show. It is one of the segments for the Sunday Sunday Night program. Highlighting the "marriages" of four celebrity couples at a time, the program shows what life would be like if each of these couples had really married.

The Presenters

The pilot episode that aired as a special on New Year's Day was hosted by Lee Hyuk-jae, Hyun Young and Oh Sang Jin. The current run, only Hyuk-jae remains as an original host. He is joined by Kim Won Hee, and Lee Hwi Jae for the first 8 episodes until Hwi Jae replaces Jung Hyung Don as one of the grooms in episode 9. Won Hee later leaves to film a movie after episode 12, and Park Myung Soo is then introduced as host in episode 13. After episode 17, Hwi Jae resumes his position as MC, and the latest addition of Kang Soo Jung, now the only female, brings a total of 5 hosts.

Lunar New Year Special Episode

This special episode was aired on February 6, 2008. The four predetermined (as in participants don't choose who their partner is, but the pairings are set up by the PD) couples are given a certain amount of money ($20, $40, etc) to prepare dinner for themselves. The participants try to portray themselves as a real life couple and go out together to buy groceries for dinner. The show then follows them to a mock home where they prepare the dinner and eat. In between scenes there are interviews with the participants asking questions like what they feel about their partner and what they like or don't like about him/her. At the end, the MCs reveal whether or not your partner liked you as a "husband" or "wife" or not by giving an X or an O. Whoever received an X was pushed down the slide.

With a new format, besides Crown J & Seo In Young couple and Jung Hyun Don & Saori couple, Alex and Solbi are paired up with new celebrity partners, actress Shin Ae and singer Andy, respectively. Again, they are to act out the lives of newlyweds, but in the new program format they are given a mission each week, such as a housewarming party, couple vacation, meeting the families, etc. In between scenes there are interviews with the participants asking questions about their day, as well as discussions about conflicts and developments in the relationships. The actual date of recording and the interviews are all prefilmed and the participants and MCs watch it all back. Each side of the couple would privately express their thoughts and confessions that were not revealed to each other in person. Since it is a reality show, real emotions and feelings begin to develop between the couples.

Controversies

On August 19 2008, We Got Married was accused of plagiarism by a Korean media, stating that the basic concept and format of the show are somewhat similar to a Japanese variety called Koisuru Hanikami by TBS (Japan) in 2006. The PD has denied these allegations, saying they had not watched the Japanese show at all.
