Mullappally Ramachandran(born 7 November 1944) The union Minister of State for Home Affairs is the a member of the Parliament of India from the Vadakara constituency. He is one of the present Vice Presidents of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee. He was a member of the Parliament of India from Cannanore (Lok Sabha constituency) during 1984 to 1998. He won 5 consecutive elections with considerable majority against leaders of LDF like Kadnnapally Ramachandran, Patyam Rajan, A. C. Shanmughadas, P. Sasi etc.[1] He won the 2009 Lok Sabha election from the Vadakara constituency in Kerala, India by a margin of over 56,286 votes.[2][3] Ramachandran is currently the Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs.He was a Minister of State to the Agriculture and Cooperation in the Ministry of P.V.Narasimha Rao.[4]
