Bangkok Metro Orange Line

The Orange MRT line is a planned mass rapid transit line to be built in Bangkok, Thailand.The line will run mostly underground.
There are 17 stations planned on this 24 km long line, 14 stations will be underground.
The Orange Line is aimed to serve travel demand in the west (Thonburi) and the east of Bangkok.
It will also provides access to universities including Ramkhamhaeng University.And other public places like Dusit Zoo and Victory Monument.

Alignment

The Orange Line starts from Wat Sri Boonreong (Bang Kapi) and runs along Suka Phiban III Road, as an elevated structure.Before it approaches Lum Sari intersection, the line changes into an underground structure. After that it runs south along Ramkhamhaeng Road, passing Hua Mak Stadium and Ramkhamhaeng University.At the Thailand Cultural Centre station (witch is a transfer station), the alignment crosses under the Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line, bounding for Victory Monument to Ratchavithi Road.It passes Dusit Palace and Dusit zoo. Further is will run west on Samsen Road, and crosses Chao Phraya River at Krung Thon Bridge to Thonburi. The terminates before reaching Pinklao a total length of 24.0 km.
