Cathy Maguire

Cathy Maguire is a singer who was born in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland on 11th of October, 1979. At a very young age she became known locally as a child star. She recorded her first album at the age of twelve and after several listeners' requests, she was invited by Gerry Ryan to perform a live set on his radio program. After formal college education Maguire returned to the United States and went to work in Nashville, TN as a songwriter. She is due to release a new album of Celtic folk music in October 2008.

Maguire holds a BA Hons Degree in Music. She has embarked on a Masters by research which she will complete in 2010.
