Life History
After participating in dozens of competitions, Marisol stood out by competing in a competition at the Château Laurier hotel in Ottawa for the agency "Angie Models and Images" in 1999. Sixteen people out of just over five hundred were chosen to go to Los Angeles (Hollywood) where they were given vocational training with the Showbizz Greats including international dance, song, theatre and fashion experts. The trip also allowed her to compete against artists from around the globe. She returned home with no less than 5 prizes!
She ranked among the 50 finalists for Quebec women auditioning for the role of Juliette in the musical Romeo and Juliet. After the competition she was offered a recording contract from Suddio Piccolo which is Montreal's most recognized studio. Her dream was realized at the young age of 15! Starting with an offer from Cirque du Soleil for the European tour of the show Kidam for a 3 year term to more offers each being more fantastic than others. Then everything collapsed! The studio's artistic director took advantage of her innocence, leaving with her money, her efforts ... and the dream of her life!
It took her a few years to recover but by the age of 19 she resumed her career goals and with confidence, maturity and a little more experience! In January 2005, she decided to participate in the Star Academy competition. This was a big accomplishment! Among nearly 6000 competitors, Marisol was 1 of 30 finalists. It is seeing the reaction of people who came to congratulate her that made her become more confident in her abilities and made her more aware of her desire to convey her passion and hope to young talents.
She is now the owner of a music school called "Unison Musique" and sings frequently throughout the province of Quebec.
