Floating Bed and Breakfast

Floating Bed and breakfast, also known as a floating B&B, is a term, originating in Seattle Washington, but now also used in the United KingdomFact|date=July 2008, Netherlands, and Canada, for a boat or houseboat that offers bed accommodation, and breakfast in return for payment, but usually does not offer other meals. Typically, floating bed and breakfasts are moored private boats. Most often they are at marinas and are used for commercial use for part of the season and used by the ownwer when not occupied by guests. A floating bed and breakfast will often differ in size to accommodate the environmental characteristics of it's region. A Seattle floating B&B tends to be larger due to the availablity of waterfront property and calm water while a Boston floating bed and breakfast tends to be smaller and behind a breakwater for protection from the more active harbor waters.
