Peter J Reynolds (
1939-11-06 —2001-09-26 ) was a Britisharchaeologist best known for his research in experimental archaeology and the BritishIron Age and for the founding ofButser Ancient Farm .In particular, he famously demonstrated that roundhouses did not have holes to let smoke escape (which would have drawn air through far too quickly); smoke simply passed through the thatched roofs.
