Peter Reynolds is a composer known for co-founding Ixion New Music Ensemble. In addition, he is recognized by Guinness World Records as having written the shortest opera on Earth, "Sands of Time"; a three minute and thirty-four second long piece. [http://arts.guardian.co.uk/features/story/0,11710,1187400,00.html] Born in 1958, he studied in Cardiff, Wales and currently lives in South Wales, working as the artistic director of the Lower Machen Festival in Monmouthshire.
