Catalan Chilean (Spanish: "Chileno Catalán") is a Chilean citizen with ancestry from Catalans or a Catalan settler in Chile. Origins of Catalans may be from Spain and/or France. Catalans emigrated from Spain to Chile in thousands as refugees to escape Spanish Civil War in 1939. Many have intermarried with mestizo population and even pure-blooded Spanish Chilean population of other ethnic origins.
