Welbourn is a suburb of New Plymouth, in the western North Island of New Zealand. It is located to the southeast of the city centre. State Highway 3 and Te Henui Stream run through the suburb. ORIENTAL STREET MURDER, a series based on Shortland Street's serial killer storyline was filmed on Oriental Street and around the Welbourn area.
