The shell is very large, narrowly , rather thin, with rounded whorls, tall spire and long flexed
siphonal canal . Theprotoconch is tall, cylindrical, with four smooth whorls. Sculpture consists of fine dense spiral striae, alternating with slightly stronger lirations, crossed on the upper whorls only by weak axial costae. Theperiostracum is a thin ochreous-brown.The shell height is up to 201 mm, and width up to 75 mm.
