"The 8th Plague" is the much anticipated debut full-length album of the Spanish extreme metal act Hybrid, after the release of their previous EP "Beyond Undeniable Entropy".

The album was recorded between June and July 2007 at Sadman Studio (One Last Word, Ictvs, Adrift) in Madrid by Carlos Santos and mastered by Alan Douches (Suffocation, Mastodon) at West West Side Music (NY). Artwork is courtesy of Seldon Hunt (Neurosis, Isis, Melvins).

In The 8th Plague, Hybrid have continued evolving and maturing their complex sound through a darker and more compact sound, according to the apocalyptic concept of their album and following their guidelines of extreme, technical and innovative metal that they patented in their first EP. The band continue to show a special care in blending styles but always maintaining their own identity, this time experimenting with new influences and instruments, not only inside extreme metal, but also broadening their sounds to a close-to-Avantgarde style.

The album was released on August 8, 2008 through London-based label Eyesofsound (Behold... The Arctopus, Dysrythmia, Yakuza).
