Alpes Maritimae

Alpes Maritimae

Alpes Maritimae was a province of the Roman Empire, one of three small provinces straddling the Alps between modern France and Italy. Founded in 14 BC by Augustus, its capital was Cemenelum, now Cimiez in the city of Nice, France.
