"Eater" is the fifth episode of the NBC horror anthology "Fear Itself".
Plot
Elisabeth Moss plays Bannerman, a "boot", or newly recruited police officer. Bannerman is part of a detail guarding Mellor, a Cajun serial killer and cannibal nicknamed "Eater." As the night wears on, she begins to suspect that the behavior of her all-male colleagues involves something more sinister than hazing. Eventually, she stumbles upon the bodies of all three of her coworkers and finds out that the Eater has taken their forms as he eats their hearts and gains their spirits. Bannerman then locks herself in a closet with rat poison. Mellor eventually pulls her out and takes a bite out of her, but to his surprise, finds out that she doused herself with rat poison. Bannerman ingests some herself which kills her. Mellor, who is now cuffed to Bannerman, dies a slow painful death.
