"New Year´s Day" is the Sixth episode of the NBC horror anthology "Fear Itself".

Plot

The episode is about zombies overrunning the planet which started on New Year's Eve. The episode follows Helen (Briana Evigan) from the time she wakes up on New Year's Day as she makes her way to James' (Cory Monteith) house, combined with sections of New Year's Eve leading up to the time when she woke up. Throughout the episode, it is revealed that during New Years Eve, Helen's boyfriend cheated on her with her friend Christie (Zulay Henao) and her best friend Eddie kissed her. At the very end, we find that for the whole time, Helen has been a zombie (which explains why everyone during the course of the episode was yelling at her). She eventually makes it to James's house where she is shot by James who realizes she is a zombie. Unbeknowst to them, Eddie, (who is also zombified)manages to get into the apartment and kill James. After he kills James, Eddie and Helen's living corpses hold hands as they advance on Christie and kill Christie as she begs for forgiveness from Helen.
