Hoberg began his career in the mid-1970s, working in newspaper strips, assisting
Russ Manning on "Tarzan" (1975–1976) and "Star Wars" (1979–1980), andFred Kida on the daily "Spider-Man" strip (1981-82).Comic books
Between 1977 and 1979, Hoberg contributed artwork for
Marvel Comics 's "Iron Man" and "Invaders". In the 1980s, Hoberg mainly drew for suchDC Comics titles as "The Brave and the Bold", "Checkmate", "Batman", "Green Arrow", "Green Lantern", "All Star Squadron", "Justice League" andScott Shaw 's "Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew". Later, Hoberg worked on "DNAgents" and "Surge" atEclipse Comics (1984-86), "Roger Rabbit" for Disney (1990-91), and "The Strangers" forMalibu Comics (1993–1995).Animation
Besides his comics work, Hoberg has been active in animation since 1978, including doing production art/merchandise work for
Lucasfilm 's "Star Wars" films. He has worked as a storyman and animator forHanna-Barbera , a director forMarvel Productions , and as a storyboard artist atDiC Entertainment andMirage Studios . In 2001, he worked on the special effects ofUniversal 's film "The Mummy"; and in 2003, he was a storyboard artist for theWeinstein Company film "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (released in 2007).Education
