Rick BozzoGiuffria was an American rock band that formed in the wake of Journey's success. Despite bearing a similar sound, Giuffria never duplicated their success and disbanded shortly after one top 20 hit, "Call to the Heart", in 1984.

Early years
Giuffria was formed in 1981, by keyboardist

They signed were to
MCA Records in 1984. Giuffria's self-titled debut album, "Giuffria", soon followed, spawning one hit single, "Call to the Heart", which peaked at #26 on theBillboard 200 ."Silk and Steel"
Their next album, "Silk and Steel", was released in 1986, following some lineup changes (Goldy was replaced by guitarist
Lanny Cordola , and Wright was replaced by bassist David Sikes). However, this time aTop 40 hit was not forthcoming and the album managed only peak at #60 on the Billboard 200. Giuffria were soon dropped by MCA Records, and subsequently disbanded.ide projects
Gregg Giuffria (former keyboardist of Angel, a
glam rock /heavy metal band fromWashington, D.C. ) went on to form another band called the House of Lords. Giuffria has since left the music business and now owns a business in Las Vegas.Band members

SpongeBob SquarePants " episode "Band Geeks," in which SpongeBob performs the song for a football stadium full of fans.
