CheapOair is an online travel company established in September 2005. The company has created a branded budget travel site for US and Canadian travelers. This site offers airfares on all major and smaller airlines in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Asia, Pacific, Indian sub-continent and Africa. CheapOair allows users to book flights originating from a foreign country into the United States and Canada. CheapOair also provides travelers with tips on how to save money while traveling, as well as safety pointers in their ongoing "Important Travel Articles" series.

CheapOair was awarded the Hitwise award for the top 10 travel web sites 3 times in a row. CheapOair is rated the 5th largest online travel agency in the United States by Hitwise.[1] CheapOair provides a low fare guarantee to all its users. The company also received an award from Austrian Airlines.[2] and TAM Airlines for sales achievement.

Technology

CheapOair uses proprietary Fareportal technology that allows users to search multiple computer reservations system databases for airfares in one single search. The site displays up to 200 flight results and combinations for each city pair searched with a condensed flight matrix on the flights listing page.

Hotels inventory

CheapOair has added hotel offerings on its web site. Newsweek ran a story on this, noting that they are displaying up to 5 hotels in one page.[3]
