The BlackBerry Niagara is a mobile phone developed by Research In Motion and is part of the 9000 "Bold" series of phones. While the initial BlackBerry Bold device scheduled for release in Q3 2008 features a 3G HSDPA GSM radio, the Niagara is slated to be an EVDO rev.A variant for CDMA networks. Another sister device in the works is codenamed BlackBerry Javelin, which is a lower-end GSM model with only an EDGE (2.5G) radio.
