Women's Voices Women Vote is a feminist lobby group registered as a 501(c)(3) charity. It states its mission as registering single women to vote. It includes members such as former White House chief of staff John Podesta, Maggie Williams, and Page Gardner, all of whom have close ties to the Clintons.
For the 2008 Demoractic primaries, they donated a total of $34,800 to Hillary Clinton or HillPAC since 2000, while contributing $3,600 to Barack Obama's campaign and $2,300 to John Edwards. Women's Voices protocol for registering voters consists of, in the following order:
* a letter to the state elections board, warning of a likely surge in registration applications
* press releases to news outlets
* the robocalls, alerting targeted likely voters that a registration mailer is coming

2008 North Carolina Democratic primary
The organization gained negative attention during the 2008 North Carolina Democratic primary.
