Gate City Bank

Gate City Bank is a mutually owned banking organization that was started in 1923 by eight citizens of the state of North Dakota. The company was created as Gate City Building & Loan Association in Fargo, North Dakota. Fargo is still the company's corporate headquarters today. The bank's advertising focuses on part of their mission statement, which promotes Gate City as being "For A Better Way Of Life."

Gate City has 28 locations in 17 North Dakota and western Minnesota communities. Included in those 28 locations is a "Virtual Office" that serves as the company's Internet-based banking service area.

The company employs approximately 350 people throughout North Dakota and Minnesota. It is governed by a six-member Board of Directors. The current Chairman of the Board/President/CEO is Steven J. Swiontek.
