Ministries of His Glory

Ministries of His Glory

Ministries of His Glory is a large-scale Christian organization that encompasses more than 90 churches in Central America. It is based out of the Cathedral of His Glory in Greensboro, North Carolina and its sister church La Igle in San Miguel, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala. The Ministries of His Glory churches are non-denominational but teach many doctrines of the Charismatic. Charismatic is a term used to describe those Christians who believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit seen in the 1st century Christian Church, such as Glossolalia (speaking in tongues), healing, and miracles, are available to contemporary Christians and ought to be experienced and practiced today. Through the church members and the rest of the international partners, Ministries of His Glory now feeds several hundred children in Central America through their program feeding programs.

History

Believing that many people would perish without knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, Ron and Donna Coffer sought to establish the most enduring witness to Christ that a town can have - a local church. Starting with a church in San Miguel, Escobar, a town outside of Antigua, Guatemala. Ministries of His Glory is now working in many areas throughout Guatemala, El Salvador, and Medellin, Colombia, South America.

Beliefs

The Churches are within the Charismatic/Pentecostal tradition of Christianity which includes contemporary worship services, praise singing, speaking in tongues, miraculous healing and Spirit-filled preaching by the pastor. They believe in the physical manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in today's era as a part of the world-wide Charismatic/Pentecostal movement.

They also believe in God's ultimate goodness and that he sent his son Jesus as the supreme sacrifice to make up for man's sin and imperfection. Jesus is the only way to the sanctification of the person as a whole.
