The Sykesville Historic District encompasses the center of Sykesville, Maryland. Sykesville grew is a small town in the Patapsco River valley in Carroll County, Maryland, located on the old Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Old Main Line, one of the the first train lines in the United States. The train station is included in the district.
