Beekkant metro station

The Beekkant Metro Station is the first metro station from the west of the Brussels Metro to serve both lines 1A and 1B. To the east, both lines continue parallel through the city centre while to the east of the station, the lines break in opposite directions with 1A heading north and 1B heading south. The station is located in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek, running parallel to a freight railway, and was opened on 8 May 1981.
