In 1984, The Game was sold to the W.C. Bradley Company of Columbus, Georgia. Throughout the 1980s, The Game became the official apparel provider to the majority of the collegiate sports programs of the
National Collegiate Athletic Association 'sSoutheastern Conference . With recognition for its trustworthy products, The Game's popularity rose with its use by college sports teams. By the late 1980s, theNational Football League ,Major League Baseball , theNational Hockey League , and theNational Basketball Association become partners with the company. However in 1993, The Game was sold by the W.C. Bradley Company to Russell Athletic as business slowed. Soon after, the corporation found a niche market withNASCAR , although hoping to find its way back to the college scene.In 2008, the
