- National Museum of Lviv
The National Museum and Gallery of Lviv is one of
Ukraine 's largest museums.The initial collection was founded privately in 1905 by the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptyts'kyi, when it was originally named "The Church Museum". Icon-paintings of which there are at least 4000 of form an important part of the collection as does folk sacral sculpture.
