Skateboarding styles

A skateboard style is the preferred way a skateboarder rides a skateboard. There are many skateboarding related styles besides the actual riding of the skateboard itself, some of which include (but are not limited to); clothing, music, etc.

Skateboard styles referring to the actual riding the skateboard can be split into to completely different categories: trick skateboarding and transportation skateboarding. Below are just some of the numerous styles of trick style skateboarding.

Styles Of Skateboarding

There are various styles of riding a skateboard and each and every one of those styles are unique and distinct from one another, involving different methods and techniques that a skateboarder incorporates into his skateboarding ability.

*Freestyle Skateboarding:: Otherwise known as "old skool"
*Vertical Skateboarding:: Most commonly known as "Vert" Skateboarding.
*Street Skateboarding
*Technical Flatground Skateboarding::Technical Flatground Skateboarding is also referred to as: Tech Skateboarding, Flatlanding.::And one who skateboards in this style is referred to as a: Flatlander, Skateboarding Technician, Tech Skateboarder.
*Versatile skateboarders ride in multiple selected styles of their choice
