"It Started with Eve" is a 1941 musical romantic comedy film. A man's dying father wants to meet his new fiancée, but she is unavailable, so he substitutes a hat-check girl. Then the father unexpectedly recovers.

Charles Previn and Hans J. Salter were nominated for the Academy Award for Original Music Score.

It was remade in 1964 as "I'd Rather Be Rich".
