Eve Gil

Eve Gil (born 1968) is a Mexican writer and journalist. She is one of the major "NAFTA generation" authors.

Biography

Eve Gil was born on September 22, 1968 in Hermosillo, Sonora.

In 1990, she started attending the University of Sonora. She graduated with a degree in Hispanic literature in 1994.

As a journalist, she regularly contributes to national publications such as Excélsior, El Ángel de Reforma, Novedades en la cultura, and La Crónica, among others.

"Requiem for a Broken Doll" tells the story of Moramay, a thirteen-year-old girl growing up in the early 80's in Mexico City. An English translation is underway.
