Opened by the
Merthyr, Tredegar and Abergavenny Railway , but the project was taken over for financial reasons by theLondon and North Western Railway . Therefore it became part of theLondon, Midland and Scottish Railway during the Grouping of 1923. Passing on to theWestern Region of British Railways onnationalisation in 1948, it was then closed by theBritish Transport Commission .The site today
