History

Rebirth

While attending summer camp, Daniel Bayles joined with Johnnel Deriada, Milo Jimena, Jun Sandell, Gilbert Ferrer and Elijah Bayles to form Rebirth, a Christian contemporary/Gospel band that played its first performance in Bacolod City in December 2000.

The band then released its only independent, self-produced album "Rebirth:Death" late in 2000. Despite support from local Christian churches, the album failed commercially and, in the middle of 2001, the band went into hiatus.

Formation

When Archie Limsiaco joined Rebirth in 2002, the band adopted the name "Ramoth Gilead" and played showcase performances in different churches in Bacolod City, appeared on television and guested at radio stations.Fact|date=June 2008

The band then signed with Jahiel Music, an independent record label in Bacolod City. They also signed a deal with Praise Music Incorporated. The band has had its current line-up since 2006.

"Death"

The band recorded "Death" at Life Word Studios in Bacolod City with record producer Arthur and Miriam Bayles, who had also produced for Silverwings. Most of the songs on Ramoth Gilead's debut album were directly inspired by Daniel Bayles' personal views about Christian life and his devotion to God. The album's name is a reference to the death of Jesus Christ; it is also one the singles released in the album.

The first single "Undo My Paradigm", figured in the Top 20 Countdown of Jamie 102.3,Fact|date=June 2008 a local radio station in Bacolod City. The album was then labeled as fast selling and highly recommended by the Praise Music Incorporated in December 2003.Fact|date=June 2008 Ramoth Gilead continued to promote their debut album, touring Negros Occidental from Sagay City to Bago City, while the music video for "Death" appeared on ABS-CBN's myx Channel.

"Entering the gates of Refuge City"

In May 2007, Ramoth Gilead's EP album, "Entering the gates of Refuge City", was released.
