The construction of All Hallows Episcopal Church in Snow Hill, Maryland was funded in 1748 by an act of the Maryland Colonial Assembly, which taxed tobacco for the church. Completed in 1756, it is an unusually elaborate building for its time and place [cite web|url=http://www.marylandhistoricaltrust.net/nr/NRDetail.aspx?HDID=548&COUNTY=Worcester&FROM=NRCountyList.aspx?COUNTY=Worcester|title=All Hallows Episcopal Church, Worcester County|date=2008-06-07|work= National Register of Historic Places:Properties in Worcester County|publisher=Maryland Historical Trust] .
